Overview
Automatic FFL provides digital firearms merchants with a compliant checkout process for Magento, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce stores. ShipperHQ and Automatic FFL work together at checkout, but there are a few important points to note. 😊

Checkout Display & Behavior
When installed with ShipperHQ, Automatic FFL redirects customers to a secondary page where they can enter their zip code, city name, or search for the dealer they wish to ship their firearm product(s) to.
After choosing a dealer, customers return to the platform's checkout to complete their order. The shipping rates shown will be powered by ShipperHQ and based on shipping to the FFL dealer's address.
If there are products not designated as FFL, customers will be prompted to enter their shipping address for any remaining items in the cart. Shipping is then calculated to the second shipping address.
Free Shipping & Other Shipping Rules
Shipping-group-based rules in ShipperHQ only work with Automatic FFL when applied to the entire cart.
- For example, if a shipping rule applies to the entire shipment, free shipping is available.
- To offer Free Shipping to the FFL dealer only, assign the free shipping or flat shipping fee directly to the product in the eCommerce platform.
This setup bypasses ShipperHQ's rates for these products, always showing $0 for shipping to an Automatic FFL dealer.
