How to Use Time Slots

Set custom order pickup and delivery times to improve scheduling efficiency

Overview

Time slots define when an order can be picked up or delivered, specifying weekdays, hours, and time increments. Utilize them for In-Store pickup or configure as Local Delivery. Assign time slots to pickup locations or delivery methods.

💡 Platform Availability: Magento 1, Magento 2, Zoey, and BigCommerce (with Calendar & Pickup Feature enabled). Not available for Shopify, WooCommerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Examples of Time Slots

  • Allow In-Store Pickup on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM every 30 minutes, and every 15 minutes between 2:01 PM and 8:00 PM.
  • Offer Local Delivery in Columbus between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM every 30 minutes.
  • Provide Home Delivery in Ohio with morning or afternoon slots, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM or 2:00 PM-5:00 PM, on weekdays.

Creating a New Time Slot

Enable Date/Time as an advanced feature. Access the Advanced Features tab and toggle Delivery Date & Time Feature to 'Enabled'. The Time Slots tab will appear in the navigation.

  1. Go to Time Slots in the left navigation.
  2. Enter the name of the time slot that describes its purpose. Example: In-Store Pickup MWF
  3. Set the Start Time, End Time, and Time Slot Interval for shipping options.
  4. In This Time Slot Applies To, select applicable carriers. Only table rate or store pickup carriers allow time slots.

    • If selecting an in-store pickup carrier, the time slot applies to all associated locations. To apply it only to specific locations, select those only.

  5. Specify certain Zones under Zones (optional).

  6. Select applicable Days of the Week for this rule.
  7. Save the time slot.

Advanced

⚠️ Note: Advanced settings are available on Pro and Enterprise ShipperHQ plans.

Under Advanced, configure a Valid To and Valid From date if needed. Optionally, allow this Time Slot to override others and choose to display time as 12-hour rather than 24-hour.
