This feature is useful for ensuring specialty food items like chocolates, produce, or wine reach customers in time, especially in warmer climates. It can also help manage shipping methods during peak seasons to either speed up deliveries or adjust pricing.

Using a Hide Rule During Designated Calendar Days

With ShipperHQ, you can set up rules to hide certain shipping methods on specific dates. Here's how you can create a hide rule:

  1. Create a hide rule and select the shipping methods to hide (e.g., Ground Shipping).
  2. Create and assign a shipping group related to the products.

    • Example: A shipping group could be named "Perishable."

  3. Designate a zone covering specific regions like Florida, Georgia, and other Southeastern states.

  4. Use the calendars under the Advanced Tab to set the date range (e.g., April 30th to October 1st).
  5. Save the rule to activate it within your specified timeframe.

Upon saving, the rule will become effective at midnight on April 30th and will deactivate at midnight on October 1st, adhering to the timezone in your Global Settings.

Surcharging or Discounting Shipping During Designated Periods of Time

To apply surcharges or discounts on shipping during specific periods, use the calendar function within ShipperHQ. This can be useful for planning around peak times like Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

  1. Configure a surcharge or discount rule as per standard guidelines.
  2. Use the calendars under the Advanced Tab to set the start and end dates for your surcharge or discount.

Planning ahead for periods of high demand becomes seamless with this setup.
