How to install ShipperHQ on BigCommerce

Overview

Using ShipperHQ on your BigCommerce store provides access to a wide range of features beyond the default BigCommerce shipping options. These include over 30 live rate carriers, robust dimensional and multi-origin rating, and a powerful rules engine. 😊

💡 Note: Installing ShipperHQ won't immediately change the shipping rates and options your customers see. You can set up your new ShipperHQ account and use the built-in Preview Mode to test before turning ShipperHQ on for your customers.

Steps for Standard ShipperHQ Installation

  1. Log into the BigCommerce store you want to connect to ShipperHQ.
  2. Install the ShipperHQ App from the BigCommerce Marketplace.
  3. Your BigCommerce Store is automatically connected to ShipperHQ. As noted above, this does not immediately affect the shipping rates and options for your customers.
  4. Access the ShipperHQ Dashboard, where the Trial Wizard will help you start setting up your shipping configuration.

When ready to start Testing:

  1. Enable Preview Mode for testing under Store Setup > Shipping in your BigCommerce Admin Panel.
  2. After testing, and when you're ready to go live, switch to Advanced Shipping under Store Setup > Shipping in your BigCommerce Admin Panel.

💡 Note: Enabling ShipperHQ on your BigCommerce store doesn't delete your existing BigCommerce default shipping settings. These settings are simply not used while ShipperHQ is enabled. You can return to using your existing BigCommerce default shipping settings by switching from Advanced Shipping to Default Shipping in your BigCommerce admin panel.

Trouble launching the app?

If you have trouble, it might be because your computer doesn't allow third-party cookies. Please refer to this document to resolve the issue.

If you're unable to access the ShipperHQ app in your BigCommerce dashboard, ensure you are logged in as the BigCommerce Store Owner. ShipperHQ should be installed by the Store Owner, who can then use Multi-User App Permissions in the BigCommerce dashboard to allow other users to access ShipperHQ.
