Overview
The latest version of ShipperHQ’s Analytics dashboard offers an array of critical shipping metrics. These enable quick and easy review, guiding a merchant’s shipping strategy over time. 😊
Key metrics include:
- Checkout shipping analysis: View shipping-related data from checkout activity, including cart quantity, weight, and value.
- Order shipping analysis: Examine shipping-related data from completed orders, including conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and more with Shipping Insights enabled.
For detailed data, click into the analytics page and apply relevant filters to view the metrics important to your organization’s merchandising and fulfillment objectives. For example, you can review rate requests by country to gain insights into international market expansion opportunities.
The updated dashboard provides rich insight into shipping quotes over time, down to each day, with options to filter by hour. By default, you can view metrics for the average rate requests per day listed at the top of the analytics page and apply filters for deeper performance insights.

ShipperHQ Merchants on lower plan tiers can continue to view only the rate request metrics available in the ShipperHQ dashboard.
Access & Enable ShipperHQ’s New Analytics
To access ShipperHQ’s Analytics dashboard, locate the Analytics link on the left navigation menu.
Top-Level Details
View critical insights at a glance when you access the analytics dashboard. For each set of data, there's an “Information” icon. Click here to reveal a tooltip explaining what each metric represents.
- Average cart quantity - Displays the average number of items added to the cart within the selected time period.
- Average cart weight - Outlines the average weight of items added to the cart within the selected time period.
- Average cart value - The average of items added to the cart within the selected time period.
- Orders by Country - Shows relative popularity based on rate requests by country. Highlights the highest performing countries and displays the total rates requested.
Detailed Metrics
As you navigate through the analytics dashboard, more metrics are shown in graphs and charts that can be filtered for expanded or granular review. 😊
Hover over any graphs to display a tooltip providing clarification on what each graph represents.
Available graphs and charts include:
- Average Order Value (AOV) - Represents average order values and their changes over time.
- Conversion - Detailed index of conversion rate changes over a designated period.
- Top Selected Shipping Methods - The most popular shipping methods selected for orders.
- Orders with Free Shipping - Shows distribution of orders with free shipping compared to how often it was offered. Use these details to make informed decisions on promotions and to optimize shipping rules.
- Orders By Selected Shipping Method Type (Cost vs Speed)
- Shipping Collected vs. Cost - Demonstrates the difference between shipping price collected and cost over time (days) to showcase shipping profitability.
- Order Value Total Breakdown - Average of order values during a designated time period.
- Cart Weight Total Breakdown - Average of cart weight during a designated time period.
Filtering and Views
Default Filters
Use the “Days” selector to quickly adjust the time period and duration of data, from 5-minute increments to monthly increments. ✅
Advanced Filtering
For more specific metrics, set criteria using filters in the upper right corner of the dashboard. The total number of selected filters is displayed in the “Filters” selector for visibility.
Special Note on Filtering
Applying too many filters might obscure analytic results. If this happens, reduce filters until data is visible based on the selected criteria. 🔍
